Harry Murphy

At the time of his retirement from BGE, he was the Director of Major Commercial Accounts in the Marketing & Energy Services Department. As such, he supervised ten Senior Key Accounts Representatives, who were responsible for responding to large commercial customers’ requests for service.

Mr. Murphy also served as the department’s representative on the Energy Information Management (EIM) Task Force, and contributed to the development, testing and initiation of the program. Several of BGE’s customers are utilizing the EIM website to monitor their electric energy usage and to facilitate their participation in the Rider 24 Curtailment Program.

During Mr. Murphy’s career at BGE he worked in a variety of positions and departments, including Customer Relations, Employment, Employee Programs and Auditing. He held supervisory positions in Employment, Employee Programs and Marketing & Energy Services. As a representative of BGE, Mr. Murphy, also participated on committees for the American Gas Association (AGA) and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).
