Expansion to Capitalize on Firm’s Expertise in Renewable Energy Alternatives

BALTIMORE, MD (October 30, 2003)---South River Consulting, LLC, an independent energy advisory firm, has opened a full service office in Reno, NV, according to an announcement made by Mark S. Schroeder, principal of the 5 year-old company that currently has over $900MM in annual electric and gas contracts under management.

“We believe our expertise in renewable energy alternatives, especially wind, solar and geo-thermal options can play an important role in helping energy users and providers in the Western States maximize the short range and long term opportunities that a deregulated market place offers,” said Schroeder.

He also announced that F. Mack Shelor, a resident of Carson City, NV, and Shuman Moore of Reno, NV will be Principals in the firm’s Reno office. In addition to expertise in energy renewables, Shelor and Moore are experienced in locating and developing power generation projects, including combined heat and power, negotiating land agreements and overall project management expertise.
