Mr. Chesser brings an energy end user as well as a management and financial perspective to the South River Consulting (SRC) team.Mr. Chesser’s recent endeavors include the positioning a $20 million environmental company for recapitalization, successful turnaround and divestiture of a $6 million recycling company and the successful sale of a $20 million recycling paperboard mill.

Prior to joining SRC, Mr. Chesser worked as Vice President of Soil Safe Inc, a soil recycling company where he successfully positioned the company for recapitalization by implementing management systems and processes, developing strategic and operating plans and preparing the business overview presentation for investors. Prior to that assignment, he served as General Manager with full profit and loss responsibility for Soil Safe’s $6 million subsidiary, Partners Recycling.

Prior to joining Partners Mr. Chesser served as sales manager and CFO for The Chesapeake Paperboard Company (a Caraustar Industries Company), a $20 million recycling paperboard mill. At Chesapeake, Mr. Chesser was responsible for managing a $4 million energy budget including electric and natural gas purchases, process energy management and management of the powerhouse. While at Chesapeake Mr. Chesser evaluated a number of co-generation opportunities. Mr. Chesser also served on BGE’s customer advisory committee.

Mr. Chesser served as Vice President for The Chase Manhattan Bank of Maryland where as a member of the senior management team and Board of Directors, he was involved in a broad range of activities. He developed strategic plans, implemented new business initiatives, developed new products and marketing plans, and managed consumer loan, deposit and investment product lines. As Treasurer, Mr. Chesser managed the asset/liability and treasury functions, investment and off balance sheet derivative portfolios, funding, liquidity and interest rate risk.
